As readers of this site/blog know well, I am passionate about everything related to the customization of operating systems and, in particular, of desktop and Linux environments. So as a great user of the related groups on Reddit, r/unixporn on all, sometimes, I also enjoy posting some shots of my experiments.
The latest is AMD-nix on r/desktops, in clear response to a Windows format AMD. A simple standard Ubuntu to which I applied some changes: a slightly retouched shell, the Greybird theme taken directly from Xfce and background inspired by the recent news of the new Xiaomi laptops equipped with a Ryzen mobile CPU.
Very simple. First, you need the GNOME Tweaks Tool (aka GNOME-Tweaks) to change the look of the desktop without using the command line too much. You can download it directly from the Software app or via:
$ sudo apt install gnome-tweaks
And then get all the material from the repo: https://github.com/cialu/dotFiles/tree/master/GNOME/AMD-nix.
If you need more help, ask in comments. Kudos to u/_mutex_ for his version of the super simple script that blurs/unblurs the wallpaper on busy/empty workspaces and to u/
